TOLL FREE ARSON HOTLINE
The State Fire Marshal's Office toll free arson hotline number is 888-WY-ARSON (888-992-7766). As always, anyone with information on any fire or incident, not just arson, may call the TOLL-FREE Arson Hotline to report this information. If an investigator is not in the office at the time of the call, the caller may leave a message on the voice mail system. Callers may remain anonymous if they wish.

As of July 24, 2013 - 47 hospitals have sent us reports of 171 firework-related injuries during the survey period of June 25 through July 5, 2012. 29 hospitals reported No Injuries Treated.
2012 - Hospitals have sent reports of 136 firework-related injuries during the survey period of June 25 through July 5, 2012. 24 hospitals reported No Injuries Treated.
2011 - Hospitals have sent reports of 144 firework-related injuries during the survey period of June 25 through July 5, 2011.
2010 - Hospitals have sent reports of 144 firework-related injuries during the survey period of June 25 through July 5, 2010. 35 hospitals reported No Injuries treated.
2009 - Hospitals have sent reports of 108 firework-related injuries during the survey period of June 25 through July 5, 2009.
2008 - Hospitals have sent reports of 140 firework-related injuries during the survey period of June 25 through July 5, 2008.

FIRE SAFETY CAMPAIGN FOR PEOPLE AGE 50 AND OLDER
Based upon statistical results, adults 65 and older made up 32% of the residential fire deaths in Nebraska, and are twice as likely to die in a home fire as the rest of the population. For more information on this safety campaign visit www.usfa.dhs.gov/50Plus/

The online application for Retail/Distributor/Jobber fireworks licenses is now available. The fireworks display application is still available as well. Click on the link Online Applications on the orange menu bar above and then Fireworks Displays.
We have included an informational sheet from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives that explains their requirements for permits and storage of display fireworks.
