NEW INFO -Cigarette modifications regulated by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act- NEW INFO - The NE State Fire Marshal's Office will not be charging a new certification fee if the brand name descriptor modifications are a result of the requirements set forth by the FDA. Any manufacturer wishing to submit a brand name descriptor modification will need to complete the two steps listed. Email the items to Carmen Flynn.Complete Reduced Cigarette Ignition Propensity Spreadsheet: Fill out the spreadsheet from the link below using the new brand name information. Note: When filling out this updated spreadsheet, you must include all cigarettes that will be sold in NE, even if there are no brand name changes.
Include a cigarette product list containing the following information: Current brand style with the modified brand name. Note: If the brand style is staying the same, please note that it has not changed. All cigarettes that will be sold in NE need to be included on this product list.
RCIPA Instructions for NSFM Certifications: Note: The NE State Fire Marshal requires that manufacturers recertify under the RCIPA every four years. Manufacturers who are introducing new cigarettes to the market will need to follow the submittal steps listed below.
