Delegated Authorities
In accordance with State Statute 81-502, the State Fire Marshal has delegated authority to local fire prevention personnel in nine cities of the state. These individuals have the authority to carry out many of the responsibilities of this office within their respective city limits. The State Fire Marshal retains the ability to overrule a decision, act, or policy of the local personnel.
These cities are Beatrice, Bellevue, Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte, Omaha, Ralston, and Scottsbluff.
